I'm plotting out the remaining chapters of my first story arc and I'm curious, what bits or pieces of BDSM play does the group feel aren't well represented in the category?

I write BDSM, but seldom read it as few authors seem to embrace my highly-consensual and non-humiliating take on it,

Love the Greek strap line BTW 😊.

First, excellent, thank you!
Second, bonus points for the comic reference!

Negotiations. Too many partners have all perfectly aligned "green lights" paired with a clairvoyance that would make Professor Xavier blush.
I conceived of a telepathic alien who could discern my limits and go right up to them.

Then the story turned into musings about commitment and consent. And horse sex, mustn’t forget the horse sex.

A horse is a horse, of course, of course,
And no one should schtoop with a horse of course
That is, of course, unless the horse was penned by the famous Mrs. Em.

Aftercare imo is very underrepresented and underrated in bdsm lit.
I think it's an amazing moment to showcase the bond between the pair.
It shouldn't even need an outlier sexual experience but it seems relegated to those types of couplings RN.

It's an easy enough emotional amplifier I don't think complexity (there if you want it but not a floor necessity) is what's icing it out.

Should be featured more in all categories but if BDSM is where we get a foothold, so be it.
