Met Uncle J Sunday. Man this guys makes some great guitars. If you are serious about playing guitar and want a custom made electric that is reasonably priced youd best haul ass down to his shop and check him out.
He himself is a great guy. Down to earth, non-pretentious, salt-of-the-earth type of guy. A "Good people" type. Personally he is the type of guy I am pround to know. You rock J!

That so cool your guys got to meet unclej. He is everything you say and a really good friend. He could always make me laugh and he gives great cyber hugs!

I've seen pics of his guitars...very creative . It's just too bad I can't play.:)

I didnt forget you!

Whack Whack Whack Whack Whack Whack

Yeah, he is all you say he is. He will be making me a guitar soon also. Hes the kind of guy that I felt like a handshake was better to get than a reciept for the deposit we left him. Old school honor and charm. I have a lot of respect for that.

Well that is so cool! Does he play too? Just wondering if you guys got to jam together at all :)

I think unclej is a heck of a guy from the little I've gotten to know him.

I was selfish

I got the guitar I had asked to see in my hand and from then on I was just seeing how much I could do on it. We jammed some but I was more fucosed on checking out the guitar. Its was so impressive I must own one. Not only did it play and sound great it was a work of art. The whole time I was just thinking "Man if I had MY rig here..."
We will be going back and doing some serious jamming though. He plays well and writes some great songs. I am hoping he might let me work up a part for a couple of songs. Very talented and very fun guy.
Oh and when I get that guitar you will all get to see it as it will be my new AV.

i do bratcat! only i have a mustache:D

well, thank you so much bb2. i enjoyed meeting you and someplace and as long as we've got the old mutual admiration society goin' here, you're one hell of a picker. you earned the name you use here. you're a few years the other side of "boy" but if we prosecuted everyone here for stretching the truth there wouldn't be anyone left to talk to.

i wouldn't be able to claim any old school charm at all if i didn't mention how cool someplace was to sit patiently while we talked about designs and pickups and hardware and all that stuff. by the way someplace, i lost a crouton at lunch. you didn't happen to find one did you?:D

soblue, thank you for your comment. we need to get to know each other a little more.

miss t, you already know how i feel about you. you give pretty good hugs your ownself and thanks for the bump.

anyway bb2, i'm really looking forward to getting started on you guitar. once you decide what it is that you want, that is. and i'll jam with you anytime buddy.

I still have yet to even use my guitar, I think I might just sell it since I can't afford lessons...

Sorry I didn't get to meet up with all of you on Saturday.

don't give up that guitar yet. there are several online site that will show you how to do some basics at no charge. i'd be willing to bet that there are quite a few folks here, myself included, that would take the time to teach you enough to enjoy it in a really short period of time.

try the site above and see if it makes sense to you. if not, pm me.

I got to listen to your CD today UncleJ. Thanks again. It's really good. All y'all need to know we've got an awful lot of talent floating around these boards. I expected UncleJ to play the guitar. His songs are great and his voice is really really good (the only thing I actually know something about) but what I liked the best was when he took out his flute and improvised with BB2. That was pretty damn cool.

Now, sir, I am going to ruin my reputation here. Ruby may keep lipstick in her clevage, I guess mine's become a place for snacks, but I didn't see any crutons -- sorry. That was pretty funny *shrugs* (what's that saying about dressing up???)

Do I wanna know where she put those cookies?

Dont sell it. I may be back in the Austin area sooner than I planned. I teach nice people for cheap. Sometimes free.

Hey seriously, after listening to your CD a few times I really would like to collaborate some time. If you ever need an electric guitarist for any reason feel free to look me up. It would be a pleasure to work with you.
