unauthorized biography of Mathgirl

articulate, sassy, intelligent, compact, sexy, opinionated ...

They don't make too many like that.

We miss you MG

Maths; the only AHer who would never admit that she couldn't understand me. Even more impressive was that she understood a whole lot more.

Gauche

People, please: do not speak about her in the past tense.

I truly love her and will say more later if this thread lives. She is a real friend.

Perdita

Maths is 21 now, under five feet and under 100 pounds. She went from middle-school to Stanford and received a Ph.D. in physics/maths at 19. After finishing her dissertation she found herself with time on her hands for the first time in years; it brought her to Lit. She found it difficult to relate to people her chronological age, and so fit in well with the AH crowd.

She wrote of her ‘great love’ and turned it into Lit. stories, otherwise she did not consider herself “a writer”. She has more scientific papers published than erotica.

She brooks no fakery or pretence and enjoys being more gauche than Gauche. Her wit can be razor-sharp, even painful.

She is sensitive enough that a personal attack once kept her off the board for more than a few weeks.

Last winter she underwent a life-saving surgery from which she is still recovering. I wonder day to day if she will be Ok finally, or if she will ever return to Lit.

I love her and miss her dearly, but am glad I have a personal treasure trove of her writings, and what is posted here.

Yeppers... that's the one I know as well *P* darling... Hurry back sweet MG... the sheep are restless and the wind is in the East.

And, she could always be counted on to "check six", for the pilots among us.
:D

We could put up the MG signal again- where's a newbie with "The Question" when you need one?

I had been off this board for several months. Upon my return, some new names had appeared while others seemed to have disappeared, Mathgirl among them. I had no idea that she had been ill, and I do pray for her recovery. For many of us, the personalities behind the AVs remain unknown other than some posts here on the boards. We all have our own "thing" going on: some good, some bad. However, not everything about ourselves is revealed on a website dedicated to, well...smut.

I'll raise a glass to the numerative one, remember her threat to kick me in the ankle and have her aunt sue my fondly, adore the memory of the plaid skirt pic she sent to me, and hope to "see" her back here soon.

In honor of Mathgirl I offer the following. I'm sure she would appreciate it.

Monty Python's Flying Sheep Sketch

(A tourist approaches a shepherd. The sounds of sheep and the outdoors are heard.)

Tourist: Good afternoon.

Shepherd: Eh, 'tis that.

Tourist: You here on holiday?

Shepherd: Nope, I live 'ere.

Tourist: Oh, good for you. Uh...those ARE sheep aren't they?

Shepherd: Yeh.

Tourist: Hmm, thought they were. Only, what are they doing up in the trees?

Shepherd: A fair question and one that in recent weeks 'as been much on my mind. It's my considered opinion that they're nestin'.

Tourist: Nesting?

Shepherd: Aye.

Tourist: Like birds?

Shepherd: Exactly. It's my belief that these sheep are laborin' under the misapprehension that they're birds. Observe their be'avior. Take for a start the sheeps' tendency to 'op about the field on their 'ind legs. Now witness their attmpts to fly from tree to tree. Notice that they do not so much fly as...plummet.

<Baaa baaa... flap flap flap ... whoosh ... thud.>

Tourist: Yes, but why do they think they're birds?

Shepherd: Another fair question. One thing is for sure, the sheep is not a creature of the air. They have enormous difficulty in the comparatively simple act of perchin'.

<Baaa baaa... flap flap flap ... whoosh ... thud.>

Trouble is, sheep are very dim. Once they get an idea in their 'eads, there's no shiftin' it.

Tourist: But where did they get the idea?

Shepherd: From Harold. He's that most dangerous of creatures, a clever sheep. 'e's realized that a sheep's life consists of standin' around for a few months and then bein' eaten. And that's a depressing prospect for an ambitious sheep.

Tourist: Well why don't just remove Harold?

Shephrd: Because of the enormous commercial possibilities if 'e succeeds.

I liked her haiku or haikus or haiki or haikei, whatever you call the plural of them little Japanese poems. Especially the ones where she was going to commit hari kari over the Giants losing a ball game.

In MG honor
I will try to find the thread
Bump her cute Haiku

I dare say, none of us could write a character as sharp as Dr. MathGirl. At least I can't.

Imagine her torture, recovering from surgery while Walter the Beagle bays under her window.

Peridita : Thank you for sharing. I knew some of that, but not that she'd skipped High School. Give her our best should you speak with her.

Mathgirl is probably celebrating Barry's 700th dinger this weekend.

If she were logged on I would tease her and challenge her to calculate how many he has hit both on and off the juice. ;)

I refrained from mentioning ovine animals for a whole month as a penance for MG's recovery to good health.

I have lit candles for her in Carlisle Cathedral, Ely Cathedral and several Yorkshire churches.

I want her back to full fitness - whether or not she ever visits Literotica again.
