unable to upload(and see it in profile) avatar

Unsuccessful in getting an avatar uploaded. Received a green bar saying it uploaded but was awaiting moderation. (options section)10 days ago

Made multiple attempts today with the receipt of another (same place) green bar.. we’re talking less than 400kb. (there is no size specifications that jump out on the FAQ)

Any help would be appreciated.

Also, some members have a large rendering (original size?) of their avatar in the text section of their bio. How is this accomplished?

So, you've reset the process several times and will be waiting longer than had you been patient initially.
