Why is it incest? Adam and Eve's children married each other, right? Then it should be okay.

Those women who got fertilised from the sperm banks....what are the chances that their children do marry someone who is a brother or sister, unknown to them?

While I don't really condone.. nor advocate..

And considering the gene pool I come from .. no no no..

However, incest is more the natural order of things.. when you look at the animal kingdom.. Depending on the viable options provided to mate with.. animals usually choose the fastest/strongest.. and many times they will be "related".

The only reason many of us find it so repulsive is that is was condemned by the Church hundreds of years ago.. not for reasons most assume.. mostly to "spread the wealth".. families would marry other family members to keep the line "pure" and to keep wealth w/in the family.. The Church found this unacceptable.. and felt more monies would be directed towards the Church if this was no longer socially acceptable.. Speaking from a Christian standpoint.. and my observations of.. No disrespect intended towards those of other faiths.

Consider.. when brother/sister mother/son father/daughter
cousin/cousin mate and produce offspring.. the chances of having a child that is not "normal" are really not that much higher than a non-related couple. My viewpoint coming from some genetic training..

I am actually quite opinionless about it all.. I can't ever foresee wanting to engage in such.. and don't necessarily want to hear of details of those I know who might.. but.. I would never sit in judgement of another.
