Oh yes! I never used to think about how easy it was to go about and do the things I do every day.
But now.. something as simple as tying up my hair is something that makes me sigh with exasperation and pain.

The body is bloody marvelous, and I want the full function back.

I had my left hand in a cast for a month or so... and... even if it isn't the hand I tend to do things with, it's still endlessly frustrating, interrupting everything.

Long time ago, I once did a Google search at work for “Thumbs Up” in relation to a good news story and had some explaining to do!

Just tried it again and privacy filters have improved a lot since then

Facebook used to be weird for stuff like that. If you’ve ever moderated a page you’d get posts cancelled by them for calling somebody a twat, but strangely calling them a cunt was ok

In the late 90’s I did some contract work with a guy whose company gave him a laptop. He let me use it for presentations. I introduced him to some websites at the time. They were a list of links to pics. They changed colour if you’d clicked on them.
Was always interesting getting the laptop back after he’d used it for a few days

Just thought of this as it seems a world away.
The days of AOL when you got 3 hours free “browsing” per day. But you had to use phone line so no one could call you.
I had a Saturday morning “browsing” before playing cricket. I overran of course. It was an away game so I turned up at our club to see if anyone needed a lift, there was no one there. Drove to where I thought ground was, never been there before so had to use A to Z. Found where I thought ground was but no one there & didn’t look like a game was going on, so drove home.
Wasn’t till Monday when I bumped into a guy in the street & he said it was a shame the game got called off. He’d been trying to ring me but my phone was engaged for ages.
