Happy Monday all.
It's almost ALMOST that time of year when we can all down tools for a few days
Apart from people who work over Christmas. All the people who are planning family meetings.. donโ€™t forget those who are single, alone and depressed. This is not a time of happiness for all. Tbh, I fucking hate this time of year for so many reasons.

Obviously yes, I should have put, where I can down tools for a few days.

Its going to be a depressing Christmas for me this year, being housebound due to my injury and gf has to work

So... Okay, uhmm...

Obviously we are all grownups, we all know decent decorum, we all know what is acceptable social behaviour.. Right?

And we all know how to give eachother space and grace.

There will always be someone who is going to have a hard time.. While others are having a less hard time, that is life!

But should that stop everyone from having a good time? Should we cancel Christmas/jul? What about Valentine? Easter.. what about summer holidays? Weekends?

You know what, let us all agree never to celebrate anything, that way no one is going to feel that the world is against them, and only against them.

.... ๐Ÿ™„

Or?
We could take ownership over the way we choose to view our own lives.
Happiness can take many forms, choose the one that fits you.

Does this mean I can put my tool down?

Exactly.

There have been many a Christmas where, myself and or others in my family have worked over Christmas.

My sister being a nurse on the cancer ward of our local children's hospital, she's worked several Christmases.

Not everyone has a chance to have Christmas the way that they want to, work, family, health, money and many other reasons can stop this from happening, I will always sympathise with anyone who that is happening to.

I also understand depression as well as the next person, and that sometimes its hard to not react to people who seem the complete opposite of how we feel.

Just remember there is always someone willing to talk and or listen out there.
