Jul 29, 2021 · LONDON – The British government on Thursday approved plans to build a national Holocaust memorial beside Parliament, rejecting claims by campaigners that the location was unsuitable. The government said building the Holocaust Memorial and Learning Centre in Victoria Tower Gardens, a park in the shadow of Parliament, would send a “powerful ...

Given that it was the British people that stood in the gap that eventually led to the destruction of the filthy, genocidal Nazi regime and its industrial slaughter of Jews, I believe the British people should be proud to host the museum and know they were the ones that ultimately put an end to it.

Not sure about the location next to Parliament, however.

Uh...I'd say they had just a bit of help from the USA and the USSR.

The USSR was a cause of WWII before they joined the fight. They got what they deserved.

The US came in late, when the British had been fighting all over the world, alone, for two years. I'm as American as they come, but I recognize that we wouldn't have had a war to join if it hadn't been for the UK.

Yes, but without the USA and USSR, Germany would have won the war. This point is not debatable.

There are statues of Washington and Lincoln next to Parliament, I've heard, so I don't see why this memorial about something that happened outside Britain is inappropriate.

As for WWII, among the Allies:

It was the British who denied the Germans an early victory by standing up to them after the fall of France and during the Blitz.

It was the Russians who did most of the killing and most of the dying in the European theater of the war.

But what won the war more than anything else was the industrial capacity of the United States, on which all the Allies depended.

Very late to the party, the war was winding down when you nazi lovers decided to join.
Winding down?! Nothing like someone who doesn't know war history and chooses a pic of a psychopath as an avatar. LMAO! :D

Didn’t the Russians lean toward Hitler early on to take land?

But yes... American industry

We got great pay off for 20(?) years as the world recovered

We turned Jews away early on!!

Yes, they did. The Russians helped the Nazis rape Poland. The Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact made the Nazis feel confident that their Eastern front was secure, allowing them to invade Poland, which brought Britain into the war.
