United Press (www.unitedpress.co.uk) are running a poetry competition called 'Local Poem' with a one thousand pound prize.

The poem must be about your locality, no more than 160 words or 20 lines, and each UK individual can submit up to three entries free.

The closing date is 31 December 2006.

The poem(s) should be sent to:

United Press Ltd
Admail 3735
LONDON
EC1B 1JB

They have not yet updated their website to include this contest which was announced in a Press Release last week. Their website includes details of their annual National Poetry Competition. I presume the rules for 'Local Poem' will be similar.

I may just have to have a go at this one.
Maybe I can persuade Min to do it as well.

Thanks for the heads up, Ogg.

But, she claims she's not a poet.

Or have you spanked that out of her yet? :)

She does, doesn't she.
Silly gosling.
We all know differently.
As for the spanking......I don't have to spank her to get her to do what I want. :D All I have to do is say 'please'. Apparently in my accent, she can't resist.
