I want to apologize for the fact that I have 6 Es! I've read poems by you poets that just amaze me. And today's E... what's with that? Okay, it's a funny poem. Tickle a funny bone and you get a response. (Thanks for that E, by the way)

And then Paper Doll has an H. I see no other Hs yet for the day. Why? There are much, much, much better poems out there. I have better ones myself that I've posted in the past. The two poems I mentioned are older poems that I wanted to add to my online Lit collection. By the way, it's a great way to store poems.

Anyway, don't vote or comment on my poems anymore today. It's a dagger in my ass or some place when you do. Vote and comment on some of that freaking excellent work that's out there. I'm still going through the list, commenting and voting. It's a joy to read what you've put out there. I just commented on Razz's poem that had not a single comment. But I have comments on that slamming your head in a door poem. Ack!
God, I feel better now.

Okay, this has nothing to do with poetry, but I'm looking at my AV and I just love that yellow tee shirt. Most of my AVs are dark. I wear a lot of black. And now--wow! Yellow. It says summer and sun and... that darn dog that keeps peeing on my mail box pole.

I actually just got in bed. I was lying there thinking about a possum (don't ask) when this thing flew across the bed. It was big as a bat. But it wasn't a bat. It could have been a mosquito. A really big one.


I'm going back to bed. If y'all don't hear from me for a few days, then it means that some varmint got me.

There are two really big spiders in this room. Ugh. They're not moving, just there, but damn they're big as boxcars. They're going for a ride in the vacumn cleaner.

And hey I had Es--I even got an L once from Lauren, but I keep pulling my poems off and losing them. That's ok. There's lots of poems here that deserve Es and get them (like yours Eve) and lots more that deserve them and don't. So what. Big deal. If you write something really really good, you know it, right?



PS--Eve, is that possum still on the porch?

Well first of all, don't feel guilty about it.

I think some of it has to do with people understanding your voice.
Once you can make that bridge between a poet or author or musician...then you can always find something in there you can relate to.

you like it more because it's familiar and written in your language.
