Zachary Greenberg, 28, was arrested by university police about 1 p.m., after a judge issued an arrest warrant in the Feb. 19 attack on Hayden Williams, the school’s public affairs department said in a statement.

Williams, 26, who is not a student but is a field representative for the conservative group The Leadership Institute, was approached by two men who, he said, reacted with antagonism to the signs. One of them is said to have punched Williams several times. The recruitment table was knocked over and signs were ripped, according to a UC-Berkeley alert on its website. Williams told Fox News last week that his attacker also threatened to shoot him

“Today, we have finally learned the identity of the attacker and that the violent man has been arrested. While every America should be afforded their due process, we believe that the video evidence in this case is incontrovertible. We hope 28-year-old Zachary Greenberg is prosecuted to the full extent of the law for assault with a deadly weapon, which should be considered an act of hate. Hopefully, this dark chapter will act as a wake up call to those concerned about actual politically motivated hate crimes in America. Berkeley and all college campuses across American should be safe havens for free thought and opinions - especially for a targeted conservative minority," his statement read.

^^^^ orgasm denial for lux. Lol.

It's a big step that you could post that though. Mehbe there is hope.

I notice the U. cops didn't want to arrest anybody until the judge ordered them to do so. ETA: Even though the assault was videotaped, they didn't want to investigate. $30,000 bail seems awful low for something as serious as ADW, which carries a possible sentence of life in prison.

It's going to be ok buddy....I know how upsetting this must be for you but the revolution will go on. ;)

I keep wondering how this could be. Isn't the violence only supposed to be from "the Right"?

Maybe this guy was just some lone wolf and not part of "the resistance". Yeah, that's totally plausible...

Do you think Emerson is pretending to be female?

Where are all the hate spewers?

Adrina? rorbag? Pookie? Lingering cow dudly?

Where's the dynamic wordsmithing that ONLY the repug's are the violent ones?

And only one Republican out of the lot even attempted to make a comment on the content of the story. Sad!

I've been a registered Democrat for 17 years buddy.....never sent any republicans money or votes above the county/municipal level. Came close with Ron Paul...but he didn't win so I didn't.

I'm just not a socialist or a social constructionist/intersectional bigot who supports and promotes the radical, anti-American leftism you seem to support.

Though if the (D)'s run an open air socialist in 2020? I'll be part of that center who got pushed over to the (R)'s and left ya'll crying about the popular vote in LA/NYC again. :D

So now we ARE taking reports that someone was a crime victim at face value? Just last week you guys were saying that anyone who believes a person who says he was victimized is too gullible.

Don't worry, they'll let him off with a slap on the wrist.

Professor "Bike Lock Guy", who was smashing right-wing kids over the head with bike locks at some of the violent Berkeley rallies over the past few years, sending 3 of them to the hospital, all his felony charges were dropped, and he got 3 years probation.

That's just one example of dozens showing how the legal system works over there.

That's one of the privileges enjoyed by the whites on the left.

"Last week", the D's weren't. They were still in denial that the violence seems to be coming from their base and trying to blame it all on R's.

Guess what happens when society isn't going to play that game any longer? Yep, the bad guys get arrested. Finally.

Nice try at spinning this to cover the past 2 years though.

from the article
While every America should be afforded their due process, we believe that the video evidence in this case is incontrovertible

reading comprehension... not your forte...

It being caught on tape by several bystanders in a public place kinda changes things.

Words from FOX news. Lol.

A few weeks ago, I remember a video of some snot nose kid on a trip from Kentucky to protest something in Washington. What the video showed...looked pretty damning. But there was more to that story wasn't there? Maybe...people would be better off, if they actually let our system work?

Come to Wyoming or any town where oil is being drilled...and any night of the year, there are fights. People touting words...just to anger others...and then they cry when someone hits them.

That's pretty much why I posted the thread. I see that the responders to your post haven't grasped the point yet.
