Hiya utau! While going through the BHM thread I seen where you said you might start a thread of your own... And here it is! :D

Great pics, thanks for sharing! (And remember, just because you're now an official thread starter, it doesn't mean you should forget all about us cheerleaders over in the BHM thread!) ;)

Thanks, Mystic... I'm glad you like it. I'll post a few more and go farther, I think....

And don't worry, I won't forget the cheerleaders. ;)

Thanks :rose:

Thanks for the kind words, Just Pet. I'm glad I could do something for you. ;)

My own thread is pretty fun so far... I guess if things keep going, we'll see how it goes. :)

Thanks again :rose:

Ask anyone who has done it, it takes courage to put yourself out there. And one never knows which threads will last and which ones will wither (pardon the references). I enjoy threads where people expose even more than their body parts, but a little of what is inside their minds and hearts. A great example is Intrigued's thread. Fabulous pics and an honesty and depth that feels like you've come home. I mean, where else could you find a great chicken recipe from an open robed beauty?
So tell us a little about yourself. And smile!

Hmmm... well, let's see....

I'm generally willing to give just about anything a try, so it's hard to pin down real interests without sounding completely generic. Reading is up there (with big interest in SF/Fantasy and general information, but I like lots of things), as well as writing (which I don't do as much of as I would like, and I've not written anything for Lit yet -- though ideas are percolating). Gaming too, of the roleplaying/Dungeons and Dragons variety (this makes it hard to correctly interpret the phrase "D&D Free" sometimes, though :) ) rather than gambling.

I don't know what you might think of astrology, but the Taurus personality template fits me rather well, though I try not to be such a stodgy stick-in-the-mud.

I like humor. It was great to see Robin Williams back in standup action again recently. My own humor tends to go either to really stupid or biting sarcasm, but sometimes I manage more conventional humor as well.

I've been working on putting together a second computer for a while, sort of a fun project since it's an older Pentium, but I'll do what I can with this hardware before moving up to a more modern processor. And I just finished modifying some shelves to make a low-space desk for it (not that I do the handyman thing much, but I'm not completely incapable, either).

I don't smoke (the last time was a cigar with some friends at least three years ago). I drink occasionally (only really getting into it maybe once a year at an SF convention where my friends run a room party).

Anything else that strikes your curiousity?

And a smile. Or at least my valiant attempt at one. :)

And incidentally...

Now that I think about it (after going back to the forum thread) I suppose this is also the place where I should mention I really like your av... The look on your face, the rest of the area the picture covers, it just makes me curious about the rest of it. Very nice. :rose:

That's very sweet of you.
And the smile is fabuous
I recommend you wear it often
It lights up your face
I enjoy sci-fi, though haven't read much lately. Used to be a Larry Niven/Pournelle and Asimov fan. Living in LA made Lucifer's Hammer that much more compelling. Now my taste in books runs to non-fiction, especially Chinese medical, and spiritual books.

I understand and use computers as I understand and use cars... Start 'em up and go. If anything goes wrong, it's off to the experts.

Keep that smile in your posts. It is very engaging.

Thanks, I shall endeavor to do so. :)

I first got hooked into real SF (as opposed to Star Trek/Star Wars, not to necessarily denegrate them) by Robert Heinlein's Green Hills Of Earth and though I've not read much more of his stuff, I did make a point to read Stranger in a Strange Land and Time Enough For Love, both of which I enjoyed very much. Nowadays, I'm looking more at "Alternate History," especially a la Harry Turtledove.

Keep that smile in your posts. It is very engaging.

I shall, though it may depend on whether the camera is behaving at the time. :) Thanks again.

Open robed..... hmmmmmm

The robe thing is interesting...

(and I'm not sure how the smiles are working out, but I'm trying...)

Oooh, a fellow Taurus? (Not all of us are stodgy sticks-in-the mud... LOL)

I see you've met my friend pet. I also see that she enjoys your pictures... Yes, she has wonderful taste... ;)

Edited because I noticed I don't type too good so early in the morning!

Good afternoon. I just got in from work a little while ago... I hope you've had a good day, too, and I'm glad you dropped by the thread again. :)

Yes, I find pet quite cool, and of course that she likes my pictures is a plus. ;)

Quite true... I was merely contrasting with the general Taurus profile. :) So we're both Taureans, eh? Pretty nifty. ;)

Of course, the appreciation here and you comment back in the BHM thread brought me to something spur of the moment, here and now. ;) Enjoy. :rose:
