I learned to appreciate girl's then women's softball by reporting box scores and results from high school and middle school teams, I was told you can't just cover boy's sports, cover girl's too.
Girls have more fun at sports, more fun in general, but you already know that, so it became a pleasure to follow the NCAA World Series Softball double elimination tourney which has just decided the two teams playing for the title: University of Washington Huskies and the University of Florida Gators.
I have some friends with degrees from UW (UDub), and I met a gal at Gatorville, Gainesville, Florida, a way back when, so I am of mixed emotions but think will will go with UDUB and the Canadian transplant pitcher, Danielle Lawry, who wiped out the U. of Georgia just a little while ago.
Games are at 8pm ET Monday, Tuesday and if necessary, best two out of three, Wednesday and then I have to wait for the Little League World Series in August, because I coached for several years and got into the habit of watching.
Anyone following the progress?
