1. Gomer bull. This is a straight bull, testicles intact (not a steer), whose mighty cock has either been whacked off or stitched to his belly so he can't insert it anywhere. He's let loose with a herd of in-season cows to arouse them with his muscular, masculine pheromones but he can't fuck any of-em. He's just there to ready them for artificial insemination.

Translate that to humans. A gomer guy or gal is hugely sensuous but can't perform sex, can only trigger fuck-lust in others. 'Why?' makes the story.

2. Magical rescue. George in IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE feels a failure as a community banker but his intended suicide is interrupted by an angel. That follows in the tradition of operas where a philosopher feels a failure because they can't solve all mysteries and is about to take poison, when a faerie or demon or angel pops up and grants them some certain power.

Update that. Our principal feels a failure because their love life sucks. (Cf incels, guys who haven't learned to pick up leftovers when a bar closes.) They're just about to end it all when the Sex Faerie appears and grants them seductive power. What could go wrong?

I like that latter one quite a bit - strongly reminds me of an initial theme within the "Mine.... Yours" series starting at https://www.literotica.com/s/mine-yours-pt-01 by payenbrant.

If I recall correctly some of the post-Joe Brolly djinn-themed stories also have similar aspects, where the genie cleans up problems be they physical, mental, financial, or whatever for their master with wish magic.
