Two ideas brewing, which one first?

'Kay, folks, looking for a little input here if anyone has any druthers. I'm planning to start a new story for Lit this week and have two ideas and can't decide which one to go with first.

Choice A --
Tentative title: "Taking Dani's Place"
Category: Incest
A mother suspects that something's going on between her husband and daughter.

Choice B --
Tentative title: Raising the Dead
Category: Erotic Horror
Seance in a haunted house goes wrong ... or right, depending.

I plan to write both of them eventually, but just need a nudge toward one or the other. Thanks in advance!

I'd like to read the incest one, just to feel the mother getting paranoid and worried as the clues start to mount up--catching her husband sniffing/licking his daughter's panties which he tries to play off with, "Ohh, honey, I thought they were YOURS?" Hearing the daughter masturbating behind her closed door and thinking she hears the daughter moan her husband's name. Watching the daughter and father get VERY close while swimming--each one diving under the water for several seconds while the other has a look on his/her face as if they are receiving....Finding the husband has bought a gift of lingerie and sexy bras for Christmas...but the bra is too big for mom, though it would fit her daughter JUST right.

I kind of like what Sirhugs said combine the two. Daughter has a Seance and brings back her dead farther and his spirit takes care of her needs each night. Mom hires the ghost-busters to find out what is hapening! While she is doing the stay-puff man dady is doing the daughter.


I don't know just having silly ideas.

I like the seance idea. I've still got thousands of incest stories on lit to wade through, but many fewer ghost stories.

Actually, silly as it might sound, that gives me an idea.

Hmmm... I may need to commision someone who's clever at writing fantasy stories.

Sabledrake - I'd go with the horror option first. Then, when the masses become riled with anger for trying something original, toss them the incest story to sedate them.

I am partial to the horror story, but that might be because I have one rattling around in my thoughts that I need to get out.

Looking at the title for your incest, I would guess that there is going to be some role reversal or role substitution going on. The role reversal idea could be interested if you got the “Yuck, Gross” going from both mother and daughter with various sexual activities where one is freaked out by what the other does eagerly.

And the other idea about tying the seance to the incest, that could work too. Great idea to have one TYPE of story lead to an entirely different TYPE of story! Hmm, getting ideas...

Write the first page of each, and see which one flow more easily. Then go with it. Personally, I'm leaning towards the incest with a twist. Kind of sounds like a drink, doesn't it.
