Two good 'ol boys endorsed by Jesse Helms lost in yesterday's (7-20-04) North Carolina Primary Election.

Bill Cobey, GOP candidate for Governor

and

Ed Broyhill, GOP candidate for House of Representatives

both LOST.


Both had run TV ads saying literally nothing more than:

I am a Christian
I am a Conservative
I am endorsed by Jesse Helms


Who knows, maybe NC is seeing the light?

Methinks those guys would tar and feather all Methodists, if they had their way, and burn Presbyterians at the stake.

I ran a campaign for a Superior Court Judge against one of Pat Robertson's boys once. Robertson had given, and I mean literally given, his guy a law degree to enable him to run.

There is nothing those guys will not do to win.

They had some little old ladies working who were scary as hell. There was one who, I'm sure, wouldn't think twice about putting a bullet into a doctor if her "pastor" told her to.
