Twin swap…with a twist

So you’ve probably read a twin swap story before: identical twins who even into adulthood are hard to tell apart, either intentionally swap places or are mistaken for each other with the other’s lover/s hooking up with their twin.

So what about some ideas where there’s just a little extra twist involved?

1. Married woman and her sister decide to play a prank on her husband and see if he can tell the difference. They swap and sis plays the role exceptionally. It’s a bit awkward when husband of course greets her with a kiss and gives her butt a healthy squeeze but sis has had a bit of a crush on hubbie for awhile so she likes the attention.

Husband then presents her with a rather bold bikini and asks if she could try it on before they get in the hot tub. Sister is nervous but goes along with it and winds up sleeping with him.

…however, her married sister and husband knew the whole time. They knew sister had a crush on husband and decided to give her an excuse to let it play out (they reveal this to sister by the end)

2. Husbands with wives who are twins get into swinging and after talking to their wives, decide to swap with each other for the night. They hook up and have a more sexually charged evening than they had in years. Only thing is, their wives got the time wrong and we’re home the whole night but played into their husbands fantasies.

3. Twin sisters have a reputation on campus: one is extremely studious while the other is a party animal and always sleeping around. One night, their classmates catch the studious twin hit up the bars and go clubbing. They realize what’s going on: the party sister must be out to ruin her sister’s reputation. So they quickly get her to a hotel and take her phone so she’ll stop taking selfies and try to get her to confess while also enjoying her “talents” (consensually, she finds it a bit annoying but she’s up for anything)

…only for the truth to come out when the other sister wakes up: they actually take turns playing the different roles. When one wants to party they put on a wig and change their makeup while the other one stays behind and studies. They just alternate so they can keep their grades up. They lost the wig though so they decided to go without it tonight.

yes that was the film I was trying to think of. i do like this idea and i have read something like this from a few years ago. twins living on a ranch and Daddy sells one of them off to an uncle or someone to pay off some debts or something?

i think that there was some sort of connection so the one twin felt what the other felt and wanted to try it out for real so they swapped places but Daddy realised the swap and warned the uncle so she got a lot more than she bargained for.

this might have just been an idea not a full blown story.

Lovecraft you are correct but this is the same with anything we now write. It’s all been done before. The only thing in any written work is to have a twist in it to make it your own.

I like the both the 1. (the "accidentally" swapped twin is set up for it by everyone else involved) and 2. (the swap isn't real, but the partner(s) are successfully fooled to believe it is) now the problem is how to combine those.

Perhaps... sisters and/or they partners joke about wife swapping...

...and almost go for it, almost, but one of the girls balk out, unsure about how her partner would actually think about it. So they decide to prank the guys instead and swap clothes and jewelry and makeup and pretend to go through with the swap. And have a great time, but perhaps the worried girl reveal she's her a bit earlier.

Perhaps the sisters then make a point to dress identically the next time they get together. Then the three of them collude to prank the worried sister to be "accidentally" confused with her sister. And when she tries to tell she's her, the other guy goes all like, okay that was a great game we can play that again.

The third part obviously explores them going into a full foursome where it anymore doesn't matter much which girl is which when.

For the 3. (the different twins are in fact roles played by both) there some groundwork is needed. Perhaps, both were studious prudes until they caught interest of that one badboy who was such a bad influence upon one of the sisters she become slutty party animal, falling out in conflict with their overbearing conservative parents and old friends alike. And perhaps they're actually tired pretending, so let themselves to be caught swapping, as a way to drag every hypocrite's nose.
