Washington Post has some Pulitzer-worthy coverage of twenty days in the Trump White House, from Election Night to Trump's authorizing the GSA to begin transition.

It's fascinating reading...especially since so many Republicans were interviewed ON THE RECORD.

The fascinating part is the Republican elite had blue-chip legal firms ready to rock-and-roll with legal arguments to overturn the election, but the not-quite-narrow margin of victory didn't support any of these strategies.

Trump began cooking up wild legal theories on his own and legal firms realized their licenses would be in serious jeopardy arguing these cases so they begged off.

What remained was the derpiest of lawyers, headed by Guiliani and Jenna Ellis. Ellis comes across as completely out of her depth here.

We all knew Trump was delusional, but this past month has uncanny parallels to Hitler's final days in the bunker.

Shit!

I thought you were going on about a river trip!:D

Took me a second to figure out what you were talking about, then I remembered BoBoIncel's infamous comment "You know, de Nile isn't just a river in South America". :nana:

Justices on the state high court ruled unanimously late Saturday that Republican
petitioners waited too long to file their suit challenging Act 77, the 2019 law that
established universal mail voting in Pennsylvania.

The ruling with prejudice means that the plaintiffs are barred from bringing
another action on the same claim.

The court’s written order called the latter option “extraordinary,” noting that
it would disenfranchise 6.9 million voters.

4 yrs of denial of Trump win in 2016

4 yrs of Russia and more, HOAX

So fuck off

That was a great read.

I liked the parts about actual lawyers and law firms jumping like rats away from the stinking ship.

Not that it's news, but it's infuriating/disturbing to see the Narcissistic Pig's mind at work.

Every concession to reality has to be countered by an even greater leap into authoritarian fantasy. It starts out with a grain of possible legal standing, turns into stupid conspiracy, and once reality wins and he "allows" the transition, he's gone all over into some sainted Myth of Martyrdom of "Fraud."

One-term...impeached president. Let's look at what history says about the one other one-term, impeached president...oh that's ugly. Now Donald will be ranked right above, or right below. Lol. Fucking brilliant. That has to burn some asses here

One term president, who lost the popular vote TWICE, and never ever hit 50% approval, and his supporters in here acting like he is all that.

With the blatant voter supression efforts, I bet Biden's numbers were even higher, but we overcame their thuggery.

Funny how they whine about this non-existent voter fraud issue, but totally ignore all of their efforts to suppress voters.

Denial is a coping method for them.
