I'm out, last night, disabusing a customer of the idea that he can borrow money from The Man and not pay it back. In the process I wander through a bar. One of the guys is talking to another guy and he mentions a TV show where one of the characters is named, 'Nooky.' Now, I don't watch TV, I don't even own a TV. However, a TV show with a character named, Nooky sounds like my kinda TV show. Can someone tell what show to watch to see Nooky do her stuff? TIA.

I would be willing to bet they said "Snookie" and were talking about The Jersey Shore. As a real New Jersey resident, and not a fake one from Long Island or Connecticut transplanted for the sake of the show, I can't recommend that one even if paid.

They were either discussing Jersey Shore, as someone noted, or perhaps Boardwalk Empire, which has a character named Nucky Johnson. I'd take that type of Jersey shore show over "Jersey Shore" any day.

I know what nooky is. What the hell is snookie?

Boardwalk Empire?

I assume you're not joking around? ;) Because I think the guy got the name wrong. It if wasn't "Snookie" from Jersey Shore--which I don't watch and can't say anything about--then it was Nucky from Boardwalk Empire, which won several Emmys this year. It was created by Martin Scorsase, and is a historical-ganster drama about the rise of the mafia during prohibition, most particularly in Atlantic City which was then "ruled" by a dapper and intelligent ganster nicknamed "Nucky" (Enoch Thompson) brilliantly played by Steve Buscemi.

The show starts off slow, in part because it wants to get the audience up to historical speed about the early 20's. Many viewers, including myself, had mixed feelings about those first few episodes. Then there was the episode with the guy who wears a mask because his face was damaged in WWI. That episode was the turning point; it's at that episode, I think, that the show finds it's feet, catches fire, and become really interesting. At least, that's when I got hooked and couldn't stop watching.

Rated Mature for sex, violence, nudity, bad language...what more could you want? :D

I did a bit of reseach. I wouldn't have called her snooki, I would have called her porko.
