Turn Of The Screw.

I read Henry James' novel TURN OF THE SCREW and was confused by the end. Then I watched a film adaptation that is bland and impotent. Then I watched the 1961 film version THE INNOCENTS, screenplay by Truman Capote, and experienced the horror of this horror tale.

Capote exposed the juvenile incest by implication and reflection. James' book has almost no allusions to it, much less fingerprints. James makes the revelation the outcome of a puzzle readers have to struggle with to get.

Quint and Miss Jellers are ghostly horndogs who possess siblings inorder to continue the fun beyond the grave. Same thesis as the movie GHOST with Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze.
