I'm talking out my ass on this so please excuse.
France shouldn't be in NATO, as they do not contribute materially to the organization. And they're pissed because the US seems to dominate it.

The Danish have just sent humanitarians to Baghdad where they will act as human shields, unbeknownst to them...
France is not included on the Defense Planning Committee because it withdrew from the integrated military structure of the alliance in 1966. The forum was used to get round French objections during the 1991 Gulf War when NATO sent its Allied Command Europe Mobile Force to southeastern Turkey.

Well this sucks. I knew it was coming, but had hopes that maybe it would be put off or not happen at all. One more complication in a growing list of complications. *sigh* So it goes. Hopefully this whole war thing won't take too long once it gets started. We've got things to do, ya know.
