She died in 1978. Fell down some steps, slipped into a coma, and died.

On April 18, 1978, whilst at a friend's house, Sandy suffered a brain haemorrhage and went immediately into a coma, from which she never recovered. She died on April 21, 1978, aged 31, and was buried in Putney Vale Cemetery.

An end came to Sandy's presumably rather tragic life on April 21st 1978. She fell down some steps while at a friend's house and was immediately rushed to hospital where she lay in a coma for a week before she died of a brain hemorrhage.

Snap!

Recorded with Led Zeppelin in January 1971 at Headley Grange Studios,Hampshire, and released on their LP IV (Runes) (Atlantic Records). Sandy sings a duet with Led Zep's lead singer Robert Plant. It's a haunting folk-like song with mandolin backing by Jimmy Page only.

The song was not performed live by Led Zeppelin except during a U.S. tour in 1977. It was later re-recorded on the Jimmy Page & Robert Plant come-back album, No Quarter and the Unledded video with Najma Akhtar doing Sandy's part.
