Kittah has arthritis?

Still cool and rainy here and I've still got to get the pool covered.
The weather babe just told me it's supposed to get warm and dry later this week, so I guess there's that...

:)

... and pie!

Morning all.

The cats pissed at me. He's still gimped up but insists he wants to go out. Ain't happening.

I'm becoming amazed at the clarity of 35 year old drunken memories.

The Chiefs seem to have found a super-quarterback...

Almost tempts me to watch football again.

Almost

Helps us all understand why Baker Mayfield transferred way back in the day to OU. Almost unfair that Texas Tech had two super QBs at the same time. Maybe the Democrats will investigate.

I've said all along, the goal wasn't to get Ford to testify, but to make sure this session of the court had only eight members in order to lock in the Progressive gains. Now, Ford is off the hook and a hero and a new hero steps up to lie for the cause.

IF this is allowed to continue.

I've been pushing this theory in other threads but it doesn't seem to be gaining much traction. I'll try it here.
It wasn't Kavanaugh. It was Dianne Feinstein's penis.
There. I said it.

And I am in possession of an anonymous letter saying Feinstein attended an all-boys high school. I want the FBI to look into this.

What, the Republicans are going to put and end to this nonsense?

If they don't do the Progressive Kabuki on this one, then they lose Collins and the great Alaskan dingbat. And the beauty of it is, as soon as the truth starts closing in on this one, another activist will pop up to take her place. Once a tactic works, Democrats will hammer away at it endlessly.

Well, we know she's got a big pair of brass balls. ;) ;)

There's the rub. The democrats are attempting to, and succeeding so far, ride this whole #MeToo thing. As long as it's not one of their own in the cross hairs that is. The notion that a woman's word is worth more than a man's is a violation of everything our justice system is built on. And if that is allowed to stand our legal system becomes the mirror image of Sharia Law with respect to individual testimony.

The republicans are obligated to take the allegations seriously until such time as they can be resolved one way or another, and that's as it should be. But the notion that something happened at some unspecified date at some unspecified location alleged by individuals who admit that they were under the influence but remember with absolute certainty the name of the alleged attacker begins to stretch the limits of credibility.

If this becomes a precedent then any man that has ever had any interaction with any woman had better abandon any notion of holding a high position...........anywhere. By extension the Kevin Spacey allegations show that the gay community isn't immune to this tactic either.

NotRepublicans 2014: We have to ban trans people from bathrooms to protect our wimmenfolk from rape!

NotRepublicans 2018: Attempted rape is a rite of passage for young men, it’s no big deal!

Yeah, they have at least three of their men in the crosshairs of accusations of sexual and physical abuse and the tactic employed is the same one employed by the Clintons and the press is backing their play, mainly by silence. It's only Me Too if it is a conservative.

The Democrat accusers have proof and corroboration whereas the Republican accusers have vague, conflicting, unprovable memories, but the press is hammering the stroy line that the former cannot be believed while the latter must be believed.

The beauty parlor is filled with sailors, the circus is in town."

Everyone is in the crosshairs:

Not even atheist humanists are safe from the long, punishing arms of the transgender mafia. Recently, Angelos Sofocleous was fired from his job at Durham University's philosophy journal Critique for retweeting a tweet that fellow students called "transphobic." The tweet in question included a link to an article from the Spectator called "Is it a crime to say 'women don't have penises'?" The article is about women's activists who had police called on them for placing stickers saying as much around their city in protest of men usurping women's rights.

In a typical 2018 overreaction, Sofocleous's retweet of that article caused great gnashing of teeth and loud weeping in the outrage corners of the internet. As a result, Sofocleous was dismissed from his position at the Durham publication and forced to resign as president-elect of the Humanist Students group. "Humanists," Sofocleous told PJM, "strive to have a rational and logical approach in life, and face issues with evidence and claims, not with belief and faith. As such, humanists have trust in the scientific method, which they believe to be the only source of truth in the world."

Strangely, the extremely scientific fact that women do not have — and have never had — penises didn't seem to sway the humanist students toward rational thought. They kicked Sofocleous right out of their sphere. Criticisms of Sofocleous were swift and mostly unintelligible. Responding to Sofocleous's true statement that engaging in debate does not mean your opponent has equal moral status, a writer at the ironically named "Freethoughtblogs" wrote:
