Immediately after the worst terrorist attack in U.S. history happened because George Bush ignored months of daily warnings of the impending attack, he then attempted to make it seem as if he, and only he, could keep this country safe. Thus, from the ruins of a failed presidency arose the Transportation Security Administration, otherwise known as the TSA. After all, if the private companies who checked peoples baggage for banned items couldn't do their job, who else could do it better than the government?

Since that fateful day of Big Government run amok, the TSA has been a complete and abject failure at fulfilling its duties. Specifically, numerous tests done over the years have shown the TSA fails to find upwards of ninety percent of all fake explosives and guns sent through by undercover agents of the Department of Homeland Security, another big, expensive, bureaucratic government agency created by Bush.

Aside from treating passengers like criminals by subjecting them to groping, prodding and proctology exams, the only benefits evidenced by the TSA have been two extra hours waiting around doing nothing at an airport and herding people into densely packed areas, convenient for any real terrorist who wanted to make a statement. Which oddly, has never occurred.

The most recent tests continue to show the same failure rate. When ABC News asked the source familiar with the report if the failure rate was 80 percent, the response was, “You are in the ballpark.”

However, there was one bright side to the upcoming report. In his zeal to make a foreign country build a wall in the United States, the con artist has been stripping the TSA of its funding. When asked why the TSA hadn't implemented recommendations made to it after its last failed report, TSA Administrator David Pekoske indicated, "We have the technology and resources to do it but we're not doing it because ... we're paying for a wall."

Even better, Viper teams, specially trained Homeland Security teams that use canines to secure transportation facilities, are being cut from 31 to eight. In other words, the con artist is spending taxpayer money on a non-existent threat while at the same time defunding an agency whose job it is to, supposedly, protect us. An agency which has failed every single test thrown at it for over fifteen years.

I agree that the TSA is a complete failure but the TSA was around before Bush.

The TSA is just big government showing how much they care about your safety but not your freedoms.

Crappy safety record, massive thieft ring, basic raping of paid passengers and zero improvements to the flying process after 17 years.....or as big government calls it a work in Progress like the amazing free healthcare we all have......

The TSA is a facade. They exist to give the appearance of security so that Americans will continue to fly.

No it wasn't.

It was created as a response to the September 11, 2001 attacks.

That is what I've been saying since it was created.
