Trying to hunt down Drow/Dark Elf/? story

So, I tried the usual routes; tags, Google, I THINK I remember (vaguely) the title of the story, did a manual search in the respective categories it might be in. I'm not finding it and I'm horribly depressed because the story was awesome. It contained a human (female) and a dark elf/drow/maybe goblin? The narrative referred to him as different things through the story, and it was late and a long time ago so I'm slightly fuzzy on the details. The human's name was Kate(Katie? Katy?), there was the dark elf and his son; the human and the dark elf meet, she has a house on the outskirts by herself, they have sex, then these druids (?) come to kill the dark elf's child because they caught him on their land (?) - they have this scene where he explains how to care for his son (Don't let him touch iron, give him ginger(? Maybe something else) if he gets sick, don't worry about him too much because he'll be able to fend for himself and learn how to do glamour as he gets older. He obviously doesn't expect to survive the encounter, but he does (she ends up helping kill some of the druids), they stay together, happy ever after with her pregnant, making a comment on how she guesses she'll never get that cat she wanted (since the kid would just end up eating it).

I've searched Non Human, Sci Fi/Fantasy, Erotic horror (there was a lot of biting and scratching so while it was a long shot I wanted to just check there to be sure). IIRC the name was something in the ballpark of (A?) Dark Love/Romance, but the only thing I found was in Non Human with a vampire and his slave; obviously not what I'm going for. It was a one shot, wrapped up at the end and there was nothing to infer the author was going to write more pieces.

I don't remember the name of the dark elf or his son, sadly, which would have made it easier for me to google if I could, no doubt. I didn't have a lit account at the time so I couldn't save it, and I kick myself routinely :\
