So, I looked, but didn't see a forum for "Help Finding a Story" (maybe that could be added? Just a suggestion) . . .
Okay, on to the story I am TRYING to find:
First, it's LONG. Many parts, more than 15 I think, maybe more than 20.
It's about an assistant district attorney whose wife basically tells him, "I'm bored. I am divorcing you." Now the attorney is a real workaholic, but he really does love his family even if he isn't very expressive about it. The wife is HIGHLY sexed, almost (in the clinical sense) a nymphomaniac -- only getting validation through intercourse.
They have two kids (I think, maybe only one, but I think two).
The attorney/husband moves out, but realizes he's out of shape, etc, and starts working out at a boxing gym, and starts really getting into shape.
There are numerous side plots, including one wherein a serious drug dealer criminal makes threats on his family.
Finally, the major side plot is the attorney being sent, by the District Attorney, on a French cruise ship, first class, all the bells and whistles. He's sent with the EXPLICIT orders to do NO work -- AT ALL -- for the duration of the cruise. On the ship, he meets and pretty much falls for a married cruise attendant.
