i know, right? These news stories are off the hook sometimes. I wouldn't fantasize about anything so bizarre and then people get caught doing just that.

Shame that all the teacher stories involve underage kids! still provides some great ideas. And did you see the one today about the cop forcing female motorists into sex acts?

All these teachers getting caught share one common link: epically poor choices in which student to bang. Makes you wonder if the type of girl who wants to boink students has a pathological need to make the worst choice possible or if there are legions of other teachers who haven't been discovered because their boink buddy can keep his mouth shut and cell phone off.

What's funny is that some of my story ideas get labeled "unrealistic" and then far more unlikely stuff happens for real! :D

There's a reason truth is stranger than fiction: fiction is supposed to make sense!

(Hypoxia's and Grateful Fred's stories notwithstanding)

And isn't that a funny standard to set? Just think of the time that the man presented a story to a publisher about a great ocean liner sinking and the publisher laughed him off....of course, later the Titanic sank.

Actually, the novel was published a decade and a half before the sinking. From Wikipedia:

In a frequently commented on literary coincidence, Morgan Robertson authored a novel called "Futility" in 1898 about a fictional British passenger liner with the plot bearing a number of similarities to the Titanic disaster. In the novel the ship is the SS Titan, a four stacked liner, the largest in the world and considered unsinkable. But like the Titanic she sinks on her maiden voyage after hitting an iceberg and does not have enough lifeboats.

If I had a dollar bill for every news article that I thought would make an good Lit post, (insert clever line here)....
