A second federal judge on Tuesday blocked President Donald Trump from banning transgender people from serving in the U.S. military, ruling that the prohibition likely amounted to unconstitutional discrimination.

U.S. District Judge Marvin Garbis in Baltimore ruled that the ban lacked justification and "cannot possibly constitute a legitimate governmental interest." His ruling followed a similar one by a federal judge in Washington on Oct. 30.

Fyi: You don't get free medical for finishing basic. Do you have any idea of the bureaucracy and red tape you have to go through for even simple proceedures if you are not partially or fully disabled?? They dont just go handing out free sex changes at the door.

My father is an 80% disabled Vietnam vet and has needed a motorized mobility device for 2 years. Has be been approved yet?

The left had no trouble with Obama green lighting Assassination of American citizens abroad without due process but bar Trannies from serving in the military? OMG he is threatening the very fabric of society! He is walking all over the Constitution ! Oh the humanity.

I think the decision is dumb. Anybody who wants to serve should be allowed to serve period. If being a Trans or Gay is a problem for the military then separate them into like minded units if that will make things run smoother.

I don't think the taxpayers should be asked to pay for sexual reassignment. it's not the same as a vet who needs a heart or kidney transplant or artificial limbs to replace what was lost in battle. If you want to change your sex or feel your something different than you were born, you have the freedom to make that change along with all the responsibilities that go with, including the bill.

The money would be better spent on helping those who have already served .

You get free medical going to MEPS dude, a full physical and lab eval is one of the first things you get from the military.

You get FULL medical care all through basic training and all through your time in service. From boo boo's to traumatic injury and severe infections.

Elective cosmetic surgery, not exactly a GI bill or VA loan.

It's different because of the vast number of combat/service related injuries that need treatment, people like your old man, that should take priority over vanity projects for the progressives.

As far as forcing them to serve under the standards of their biological sex, that wouldn't be an issue if the military standardized everything to the job instead of the gender.

But that would be sexist against women.....so that will never happen.
