Trump wusses out: Federal aid freeze rescinded. Epic fail a week into his Presidency...

Oh, noooooooo!
What about those numerous threads magats created bragging on finally getting totally rid of the ATF, IRS, Department of Education (what else did I miss?) and forcing moochers to get off their asses and get a job? Is this yet another false flag gotcha by trump to own the libs for a day or two?

Did anyone see how he handled the country of Colombia?!
This man is far more decisive as president when he's riding his fat ass around on the golf course than he is in the White House, amirite?

This is NOT a rescission of the federal funding freeze.

It is simply a rescission of the OMB memo. Why?

To end any confusion created by the court's injunction.

The President's EO's on federal funding remain in full force and effect, and will be rigorously implemented.

The order was blocked by the courts and will be blocked if it continues, as it is unconstitutional.

Suddenly the Biden years are looking good! Actually every so often the American people deserve a good punch in the face. By the time the 2026 midterms come around, I predict vengeance will be had.

Housing vouchers for homeless were immediately at risk - including those for veterans, elderly, disabled, those who recently lost their homes from a variety of disasters…

The administration will probably wait until they get the new privately run concentration camps up and running before they try that again.

Classic overreach, the administration clearly shot itself in the foot. Some, not all of that funding was legally contracted. I think the over reach was designed to scare workers and in that sense partially succeeded. Evidence is mounting that the administration is starting to act extra legally in order to induce fear in employees in particular. Potential employees will tend to avoid public services employment because of Trumps threats - legal or not. This approach is entirely consistent with his Tariff threats. Bully or threaten first to create a false basis for the desired resolution, crude despicable, but unfortunately effective.

“The Trump administration—through a combination of sheer incompetence, cruel intentions, and a willful disregard of the law—caused real harm and chaos for millions over the span of just 48 hours,” said Sen. Patty Murray (D., Wash.). Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.) said that Democrats would continue to protest Trump’s nominees.
The administration’s move came ahead of a hearing Wednesday afternoon in which a federal judge in Rhode Island heard a request by Democratic attorneys general in 22 states and the District of Columbia to block the funding freeze. The judge didn’t rule right away, but said the case might not be moot if the administration still takes actions that are consistent with the memo.
