if it hits any Americans or American assets 'we have targeted 52 Iranian sites'

https://www.cnn.com/2020/01/04/politics/trump-warning-iran-52-assets/index.html

Americans rally for America when Americans are endangered.

CNN, folks, not Fox!!

"We have ... targeted 52 Iranian sites (representing the 52 American hostages taken by Iran many years ago), some at a very high level & important to Iran & the Iranian culture" and "if Iran strikes any Americans, or American assets... Iran itself, WILL BE HIT VERY FAST AND VERY HARD," Trump wrote in a series of tweets.

Let's hope that it doesn't come to that.

Amen!

I hope they realize that he WILL do it if he has to!:(

Thanks. I don't want to see this get worse, and I don't want to see anyone die, however in this case, I'll stand behind our President, even though i didn't vote for him.

:)

I’m surprised CNN didn’t spell out all 52 targets to the Iranians that were on the hit list (fucking leakers).

Ahahahahahaa!!!

You're an idiot, kantranni...lmao. :)

Good thread, GAV! :)

^^^Whatever you say, luk.^^^ :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Thanks for fucking it up by showing your ignorant, ugly, stupid screenname(s) here.

Feel free to return when (and if) you have something intelligent to say.

Although that is eternally doubtful.

Someone needs to explain to him that he just tweeted out his intention to commit war crimes.

I hope it does, time to put those fuckers in check.

According to WHO??

If we want to put a JDAM through one of your Iranian friends front doors we will and you aren't going to do anything but stamp your feet about it.

Well, looks like the West's ever increasing greed for oil has gotten us into another fine mess. I swear Britain, Russia and the US should learn how to play nice in the middle east. Ya, ya war is money it's good for boosting the bank accounts of the elite, they keep the fighting off our lawns and the poor are disposable so why not? Keep in mind it was the US that set up Iran as one of the mightiest military strongholds in the middle east.

The Iranian parliament remained a rubber-stamp institution until 1951, when it voted to nationalize Iranian oil and boot-out the Anglo-Persian Oil Company. This was a major success in asserting Iran’s national interests, but the charismatic Prime Minister Mohammad Mossadegh paid a heavy price for his leadership.

In a well-orchestrated move, the American CIA and the British government colluded with the Iranian King to remove Mossadegh from office in 1953. Following the coup, Mossadegh was humiliated in a sham trial and spent the rest of his life under house arrest.

I keep trying but cannot understand how anyone in this day and age can continue to spout this nonsense.

Currently the US is a "net exporter" of energy in both natural gas and crude oil. That means we ship more energy overseas than we import from other nations.

Which means we aren't dependent on Iranian oil (which can't be freely sold on the market anyway due to sanctions).

Thus, any military conflicts in the Mid East ARE NOT over oil. Right now it's about ideology; theirs or ours. Their ideology is to KILL ALL OF US. Ours is not let them succeed.

Simple question: Which of those two competing motivations do you personally prefer?

Hmm, all americans dead or all Iranians dead.

That's a tough call.:)

No it's not but it's what started it. Once the US got a foothold they then used Iran as stronghold for their military bases.
K, outta here World Junior's are on soon.Canada's playing Russia for gold. :D

All nations at one time or another have engaged in "nation building" or expanding their influence in the world. The US is no exception to that fact.

Thus, our presence in the Mid East isn't "war for oil" nor has it ever been. Our presence there is because trade with the Mid East is beneficial to all. That we wish to continue that trade relationship peacefully is often tested by those who wish to use force to make us obey their dictates. Where they go wrong is believing that the US is their inferior or lackey.

To my knowledge, but correct me if I'm wrong, we didn't take an ounce of oil out of Iraq.
