Actually, IMO there was much more than a semblance of order in Iraq when Bush left office. Sadr City had been cleaned out, Baghdad was functioning at a high level and the economy was one of the strongest in the region.
There was a sense of order and optimism after years of terror under Saddam. Plus, the rest of the region didn't have to deal with a madman who had invaded Kuwait and waged war with Iran.
Whether it was right or wrong to go into Iraq, we were there and the mission was accomplished. It was time to go low profile but maintain a presence, just as the military had after WWII and still does in Europe.
Instead, against the advice of many of his military advisors, Obama pulled out. ISIS and Iran moved in and everything accomplished in the Middle East in terms of stability in Iraq and elsewhere just went away.

As for " Fatso ditching Syria," I wasn't aware of any line he'd drawn in the sand over that country. But if he had drawn a line in the sand, like promising action if Syria's Assad used chemical weapons on his own people, then Trump would be a hypocrite if he did nothing.
