I know both are long shots. Who is more likely to win it all in their respective endeavors this season?

Shouldn't it be: LYIN' TROMP VS DETROIT LIONS ??

Meanwhile, the gamblers' odds on Tromp winning the election keep dropping but could rise a little more. If he bets against himself, he could make a pile of money. Then if he wins, he wins, and if he loses, he wins. Pretty smart, hey? Follow the money.

New Hope Special Needs Middle School will win the Super Bowl before Trump wins the Presidency.:rolleyes:

pfft!

The Leafs will win the Cup before Trump becomes POTUS.

You guys crack me up!

My wife says that it's all my fault for creating this thread that we could have a president Trump and Detroit Lions Super Bowl champs, rather than a real republican and the Green Bay Packers.

That is all.

It was very clear to me that Trump was going to win Ohio, North Carolina, and Florida, plus all the obvious states that usually vote Republican. I could see it all came down to Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin, which I thought were all about 50/50, giving Trump a decent chance to win in the Electoral College, but still a slight overall underdog, based on the voting histories of those three states. I was very surprised that Trump won all three.

Pennsylvania was the one that surprised me.

Of the three states I listed at 50/50, that was the one that least surprised me that Trump won. I had been following polling in bellwether counties in that state that indicated Trump would probably win it. I posted the polling results here a few times, even though I had my doubts about the polling company. Turned out they knew what they were doing.

Speaking of bellwether counties, probably the best one in the country is here in Indiana. Vigo County has voted for the winning presidential candidate 15 times in a row now, having voted for Trump over Clinton. It pays not to doubt the voters in that county. They've voted for the winner 30 times out of the last 32 elections, going all the way back to 1888, I think.

But don't bet on the Detroit Lions to win the Super Bowl. :D

Good Morning and Happy New Year

Same to you, AJ! This is still "night" for me, haven't been to sleep yet. Patient1 and I both caught the creeping crud in time for New Years. I slept probably 90% of New Years Day so now I'm wide awake since about 10 pm. Thought Lit might actually make me sleepy...
