trump turns down vaccine

You KNOW Trump fucked up because he's sending out Azar to take the blame.

They ordered enought doses for 50 million Americans.
Pfizer asked in late September if America needed more or could they sell the remaining 75 million doses to the European Union...

It's important to recognize that Pfizer gave the US government the right of first refusal.

The US replied, in writing, "Nah, we good".

So Pfizer entered into contracts to sell to the EU.

NOW and only NOW, the Trump administration realizes they're gonna need a lot more doses...so sorry, every dose is already pre-sold.

Enter Donald Dealmaker. He's gonna issue one of his infamous Executive Orders to unilaterally abrogate a contract.

Mighty fine leadership there.

Small wonder our incels here voted for such a manly man.

Only Fascist traitors support a Fascist traitor. I know I am saying it a lot lately. But it needs to be said. Never forget.

pfizer's making sure trump can't take credit for their vaccine under warp speed, even though he'd try and even though they took NO trump money to make sure their company stayed a-political and made it all about the virus. trump hoped to ride the vaccine home to the presidency re-election, as if he'd been the one who got it developed, and he's pissed. has there ever been such an inadequate man? someone born with a silver spoon up his arse, bred into a family of racism, grifting, lies, and yet he still fails at every level (well, except lying).

Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla and Moderna CEO Stéphane Bancel had been invited to appear in Washington and declined.

The president is expected to take credit for the quick development of vaccines through Operation Warp Speed at the summit, as well as pressure the Food and Drug Administration to quickly approve an emergency use authorization for both companies’ products.

The snub is predictable, as Trump has especially been at odds with Pfizer after executive Kathrin Jansen, the head of vaccine research and development, said on November 10 that this particular vaccine wasn’t part of Operation Warp Speed.

Pfizer didn’t take federal dollars for development of the vaccine, but signed on to sell $1.95 billion of it to the U.S. government, thus ensuring there would be a marketplace.

Bourla defended the company’s decision not to take federal funds saying that Pfizer wanted to ‘liberate our scientists from any bureaucracy’ and ‘keep Pfizer out of politics.’

But on November 9 – six days after the presidential election and two days after President-elect Joe Biden was deemed the winner – Pfizer announced the findings that the company’s vaccine was 95 per cent effective against COVID-19.

At that time Trump wasn't putting all his eggs in one basket, not knowing which or when a company would cross the finish line first or even have one that would work.

But keep on hating cause your god Biden will make everything OK!
