This really gets to the heart of the Deplorable phenomenon. Trump's base was solidified, not eroded, when he bragged to Billy Bush on the Access Hollywood tape that he was a sexual harasser.

The Deplorable movement is dominated by people who do not have satisfying intimate relationships. Lacking this, they tend to scapegoat minority groups for problems in this country, admire autocracy (as control freaks), and/or demand attention via the internet on an hourly basis.
