Well elections do have consequences.

Helen - wife of the dude getting deported said she voted for Trump but thought that only the "bad dudes" would get deported.

"I understand when you're a criminal and you do bad things, you shouldn't be in the country," Helen said. "But when you're a good citizen and you support and you help and you pay taxes and you give jobs to people, you should be able to stay."

"We were for Mr. Trump," she added. "We were very happy he became the president. Whatever he says, he is right. But, like he said, the good people have a chance to become citizens of the United States."

"Something good will come out of this," Helen said. "All of the good people will come out. I don't think ICE is out there to just detain anybody and break families. I think at the end of the day, it's going to be okay," she added.

"Good" people don't come here illegally.

Wouldn't even an undocumented immigrant get to stay if married to a citizen?

Serious question, I don't do immigration law, that's just something I've picked up from TV shows. Like the meme that a wife can't testify against her husband, it might be bullshit wholly or partly.

I agree. And I really like that dopes that supported Trump are getting fucked. I think my new favorite phrase is "elections have consequences".

Next will likely be the Red State citizens that won't have health care, provided the Freedum Caucus can be brought onboard.

But for sure they won't have food stamps and TANF.

He had a deportation order in 2000. Not sure if she is a citizen ...?

Yes, they do. So do "bad" people, but mostly "good" ones. Once they've broken that one law they usually abide by the others, work hard and pay taxes.

Once deported a return is a felony. Many have been back across that border many times, multiple felons. I say come in legally or stay home.

Well, you know they only entered illegally because they saw no hope of entering legally. And other than their legal status, they are in no respect a problem, or at least no worse a problem than native citizens at the same socioeconomic level. Would you agree to significantly increasing the number of immigrants who can enter legally each year? And, to not disqualify those who have entered illegally in the past? You can at least give them credit for sheer determination to become Americans, it means they'll make good ones, and if they break laws they don't agree with, that's very American too, isn't it?

Did the English settlers come here legally? I mean we all know about the mass genocide of the Native American people.

I'm just not sure of the laws back then.

you realize that just because our state went to trump that doesn't we all voted for him, right?

but, hey, any reason to shit on the poor, right?

Other than treaties they had no laws against strangers entering their territory, AFAIK. Never thought they'd need them.

OK, there is so much wrong with your first paragraph.

There was NO purposeful act of genocide perpetrated on the native Americans. It was as a result of their having no immunity to the various European diseases. Those diseases were initially brought to the new world by the Spanish, not the English. Small Pox and other devastating diseases were already spreading throughout the indigenous population long before the English arrived. To my knowledge there is only one documented instance of the use of Small Pox 'blankets' being used as a weapon of war.

As far as the Europeans coming here 'legally' is concerned there was no particular illegality involved. It was an invasion by any other name. Which makes the point that had the indigenous peoples had immigration laws, and enforced them, they would probably still have their lands. The corollary is that open borders are an invitation to invasion.

This has nothing to do with Trump.

This is a process that began in the year 2000...

And what has happened since then, you fat son of a bitch?

Roberto has been under the supervision of Immigration and Customs Enforcement since then.

"What they do is say, 'okay, if you don't commit any felonies or any crimes or anything bad, DUI, traffic tickets, then you can proceed with your documents to get your green card and to become a citizen in the United States,"

And then came Trump.

I can't wait until they start deporting ChiCom illegals like your "daughter", given her criminal record (underage possession of booze and cigarettes, wrecking cars, etc).

Lol look at Rob crapping his pants and foaming at his mouth in anger ....
I guess he wrote his Parminderjeet post in the Blurt thread when he wasn't yet seething with anger

Not angry at all, you sissyboi transvestite alt.

I'm more amused than anything else. I understand, however, how you have to stick up for your "off-board bro".

How the jihad coming to make things "exhorbitantly expensive" for me to post here. 18 months after you declared yourself "board sheriff" and I'm still here. Slipping? Hmmm?
