Trump reportedly calls soldiers who died in war, 'losers'

Trump has the intellect of a pig! Pretty smart at finding something to CONSUME!:)

Trump is a coward and traitor. I would not want to go into battle with him in my squad. He couldn't be trusted.

It gets worse. Now Fox News is attacking Fox News for daring to report on Trump's contempt for the brave Americans that died serving their country.

Greg Gutfeld and Laura Ingraham are bashing their own colleagues for reporting that Trump called American soldiers "losers" and "suckers" and refusing to honor them.

There are eyewitnesses who heard Trump demean our soldiers. Plus Trump has a long history of treating the U.S. military like crap. He faked having bone spurs to get out of military service during the Vietnam war, he's attacked our gold star families, he's attacked John McCain, he's attacked Lieutenant Colonel Vindman, he's attacked Navy Captain Brett Crozier, he's attacked our NATO alliance, he's attacked our Kurdish allies, he's deported soldiers that served honorably in the U.S. military, he cancelled military operations in the Black Sea, because he was afraid that such operations would offend Vladimir Putin and make it awkward for Russian ships that try to attack Ukrainian ships in the Black Sea and he's abandoned our Kurdish allies in Syria, getting many of them killed.

And yet Gutfeld refers to Fox News's own reporting on Trump's contempt for the military as a "hoax" and a "scam".

This is really fucked up.

I don't really consider Faux Views attacking Faux Views as a bad thing. :)

They must be livid that Rachel Maddow ran the clip on MSNBC of the Faux Views reporter giving the actual news. :D

I can only imagine. I would love to be a fly on the wall backstage in between performances at Fox. They must be furious!

There's a good source. The dike in black

"Reportedly"

In a world with alert and honest intelligent people making up absurd lies would not work. In a honest world what reporter would publish a report if the people making the claim about anything were not willing to be questioned? Since others that hate Trump were present and say it is a fake news report then why publish it? Trump says it is more fake news. People who hate him agree that it is fake news. People that love him and were there say it is fake news. And yet all they have to do is say: "Reportedly" and an army of shit monkeys will hit the air with it.

So, if that is the standard for "news" then only a real fool would pay attention to it.

Trump's supporters are not alert and honest intelligent people (he picked them for this). And neither are you. Was this a trick question?

I have no idea whether it's true or not, but it certainly sounds like exactly the sort of thing he would say. When you look at the long litany of personal insults and invective he usually indulges in, combined with his track record for trashing military figures like John McCain and the family of Humayun Khan, this seems to be a very Trump-like statement.

Yep, Trump has worked himself into believability on this issue. It exactly reflects the Trump he projects and has projected since his bone spurs days, going right through his attempt to steal money from a vets "charity" event.

Yes, we get it. Trump's an unpatriotic con man. Duly noted. He's entirely transactional and fickle, focusing on whatever new scheme will enrich himself (which leads me to believe that he's not nearly as rich as he claims...he's probably in hoc to DeutscheBank even now..by the way, why hasn't Angela Merkel used that?).

Even so, his brand of unpatriotism is matched by those screaming to keep the troops in harm's way by opposing a pullout from Afghanistan. Look, time to cut our losses there, We lost...just like the Soviets did (with our help...how did we NOT see defeat in that country coming from a mile away?). We now get to join the laundry list of invaders beaten by the Afghans, which isn't that much of a disgrace given how long of a list it's been and how much they know their own terrain.

I will get some Schadenfreude if the next invader is China or Iran or Pakistan and they get bogged down in the quagmire there, too. (Which they will if they invade.) Stillwell's Rule, "Never invade Russia, never invade China. Never invade Russia or China." needs updated to add, "Oh, and don't invade Afghanistan, either."

I am no longer disgusted by Trump since I wrote the guy off years ago. I am disgusted by the Senators and House members on the Republican side who mostly have said absolutely sweet fuck all. What do those guys stand for? Anything at all.

‘It corroborates’: Ex-Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel explains why reports of Trump hating soldiers are true

“Let’s go back and look at Mr. Trump’s words, coming out of his own mouth, starting in 2016 with what he said about John McCain,” Hagel recalled. “How he degraded the service of Generals Mattis and McMaster. And just recently, Gen. Kelly.”

“The history of this president over the last three and four years is pretty clear,” he continued. “That 2018 experience when he did not go to the American military cemetery in France to recognize and honor the World War I Marines. Every other leader went.”

Hagel added: “And you can go through a litany of past things that he said from his mouth, actions that he’s taken and it corroborates really the Goldberg article in The Atlantic.”

‘She was doing her job’: Fox News host slams Trump for trying to ‘cancel’ veteran military reporter

Fox News host Howard Kurtz on Sunday came to the defense of network correspondent Jennifer Griffin after President Donald Trump called for her to be fired because she confirmed details of a report claiming that he disparaged military veterans.

On his Fox News Sunday program, Kurtz hosted a panel discussion about the drawbacks of anonymous sources in response to The Atlantic‘s report on Trump’s alleged troubling view of soldiers and veterans. Kurtz noted that the report had been confirmed in part by Fox News reporter Jennifer Griffin.

All of the points Griffin made in the article had been reported at the time, it was not new just aggregated in to one place. Trump did this to himself.

The commander in chief lashed out at some of the country's most senior military officers and leaders just months into his presidency, telling them Afghanistan was a "loser war" and calling them "a bunch of dopes and babies," according to a new book by a pair of Pulitzer Prize-winning reporters.

Some of President Donald Trump's senior advisers, including former Defense Secretary Jim Mattis, planned a July 2017 Pentagon meeting with the commander in chief to explain the importance of preserving key alliances and troops' presence around the world.

But Trump grew outraged during the meeting, according to never-before-reported details published Friday in an excerpt of "A Very Stable Genius: Donald J. Trump's Testing of America." The book, by Washington Post reporters Carol Leonnig and Philip Rucker, will be released Tuesday.

Trump, according to the book, began referring to the Afghanistan War as a "loser war" and telling the Joint Chiefs and others in the room they "don't know how to win anymore."

It's not "opinion" or "fake news" that, instead of attending a primary debate during the 2016 campaign, Donald Trump ran a vets charity event. It's not "opinion" or "fake news" that, when called out, Trump's charity organization couldn't point to veterans having gotten the proceeds from that. It's not "opinion" or "fake news" that the courts found Trump had walked off with $2.82 million from the event; told him to give the money to the vets, as promised; and, ultimately, closed his family charity down.

Vets and military personnel needed no more than this event and court finding from Trump's last campaign to figure out what regard Trump has for them and to respond accordingly. And that's not "opinion" or "fake news."
