Why would Donald Trump let himself be photographed and recorded on video tape, mocking a victim of a crippling disease ?
Trump first claimed to have seen the images of people cheering in New Jersey while speaking at a rally in Birmingham, Alabama on Saturday.
"I watched when the World Trade Center came tumbling down, and I watched in Jersey City, New Jersey where thousands and thousands of people were cheering as that building was coming down,” he said.

People all over the world are protesting Donald Trump's claim of "thousands and thousands."
News agencies have been seeking any evidence of these occurrences.

Donald Trump has repeatedly claimed that “thousands and thousands” of Arab American residents of Jersey City, New Jersey, celebrated as the Twin Towers collapsed during the September 11, 2001 attacks. This event never occurred, but Trump still insists he saw it on TV.

Donald Trump attacked one of the journalists that wrote the article, and Trump was recorded on videotape mocking the man with the disability.
Then, Trump lied.
"In my recent speech before 10,000 people in Myrtle Beach, SC, I merely mimicked what I thought would be a flustered reporter trying to get out of a statement he made long ago,” Trump said in his statement. “If Mr. Kovaleski is handicapped, I would not know because I do not know what he looks like.”

Kovaleski suffers from arthrogryposis, a congenital condition that limits the movement of the joints and weakens the muscles around them.
Trump is seen holding his hand at an unnatural angle. Kovaleski's hand would rest in that posture due to his disability.
The journalist cannot recall much about an article that he co-founded wrote, in 2001...
Donald Trump is upset that he cannot get a confirmation of his claim, from Kovaleski.
