A company owned by President Donald Trump sued Capital One on Friday, claiming the bank unjustifiably terminated over 300 of the Trump Organization’s accounts without cause in 2021, shortly after the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

The suit was filed by the Donald J. Trump Revocable Trust and Eric Trump in Miami-Dade Circuit Court.

The Trump Organization claims the decision by Capital One to close the accounts was an attack on free speech and free enterprise. The suit also claims the decision was a response to Trump’s political views.

“Capital One has not and does not close customer accounts for political reasons,” the company said in a statement.

So a New York bank closed the accounts of a New York company owned by New York residents. The case has been filed in Florida where the jurisdiction is puzzling. What's the chance of it coming before Judge Corrupt Cannon?

Possibly based on Eric claiming Florida residency.
What's the chance of it coming before Judge Corrupt Cannon?
Only if the case is transferred from the Florida court to federal court. And Cannon does sit in the Southern District of Florida.

I would join a class action suit against Capital One and anyone who sends me junk mail.

I'll join the class action suit too if it'll get Capital One to stop sending me monthly notices that my Quicksilver Master Card requires an immediate payment of $0.00.

These lawsuits are a way for Trump to collect bribes right out in the open. Capital One will “settle” (wink wink) the lawsuit for a few million bucks and the corrupt Trump administrative will quietly stop a federal investigation of the company.

Ive not yet heard the arguments, but my gut says that Trump has a strong case here.
