"According to a well-researched and reported investigative piece by the New York Times on the White House Easter Egg Roll, a 138-year-old celebration, (Emperor Caligula Carrot, Donald, the first of his name) and his minions don’t know what the hell they are doing and are most likely going to slap some po-dunk-ass party together at the last minute."
It’s so awkward, only one unconfirmed Sesame Street star is going to be at the White House Easter Egg Roll.
(Remember the Trump budget ? No funding for PBS, or Sesame Street. None, at all.)
The New York Times explains the clusterfuck as a total mess:
The late start in planning by the Trump White House points to a smaller and less ambitious egg roll than in previous years. There may be half as many guests, a fraction of the number of volunteers to manage the invasion of the South Lawn, and military bands in place of A-list entertainers like Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Idina Menzel and Silentó who have performed for Egg Rolls past.
(Does Emperor Carrot understand that military bands might frighten small children ?)

During the '90s, special Easter eggs bore the paw print of Socks, the Clintons' pet cat. In 2003, a month after the Iraq War started, the Bush White House honored military personnel and families; in 2008, W. lovingly hugged the giant bunny, which was first introduced during the Nixon years. In 2009, the Obamas allocated tickets specifically for LGBT families; the year after, President Obama shot hoops with some of the kids. In 2012, FDOTUS Bo wore bunny ears for a promotional video.
Though the White House assured The Times that "plans for the Easter Egg Roll are well underway," no tickets have been sent out Washington, D.C., elementary schools to distribute to children, nor have they been sent to military families. Only half the traditional amount of commemorative wooden eggs will be passed out, because the White House was too late in ordering them.

The person most involved with the Easter Egg Roll typically is the First Lady, which appears to be the problem. Melania Trump, unlike her predecessors, has not moved into the White House or taken as active a role as prior Presidential wives and has been slow to hire her full contingent of staff.
This is an event by which all First Ladies are judged.
Melania has a chief of staff and a social secretary but has not yet named a director for the Visitors Office, the person who typically takes the lead in organizing the Easter Egg Roll, which takes a significant amount of organizational effort.

When March came around, the time folks usually start making their Easter Egg Roll plans, the White House had yet to announce it was holding the event. The folks who make those commemorative eggs began egging on the administration over Twitter, begging it to submit its plans. They even began to worry that Trump wasn’t going to hold the annual event.

"Ticket includes both the ( baseball ) game and access to the postgame Easter Egg Hunt."
(Bringing children to a baseball game, that are young enough to believe in the Easter bunny ? The children will not last long enough to play post game games.)

Among other opportunities to find color-coated eggs across the city, the Washington Nationals are starting their own tradition this year at their Southeast stadium.
Fans ages 3 to 8 years old are invited to hit the outfield in search of eggs after the Phillies vs. Nationals game on Sunday. Some of the eggs will have “golden tickets” inside that can be traded in for merchandise like jerseys and autographed items.
The Easter Bunny and the Nationals Racing Presidents will be on hand to help the kids out.

Insiders told the New York Times on Tuesday that the event will likely be much smaller and less impressive than in previous years, mostly due to poor organization and planning.

Where the hell was Donald Trump during the White House Passover seder? Was he hanging out with Steve Bannon? Jared and Ivanka? The ghost of Walt Disney?
The annual White House Easter Egg Roll sounds uncharacteristically depressing, and not just because there’s no word if Spicey will once again put on the Easter rodent outfit.

Emperor Carrot stayed upstairs,( he was in the White House, somewhere.) and away from the Passover seder table. Ivanka did not attend, and her husband did not attend. !?!?
"Trump’s immediate family members who are Jewish — his son-in-law Jared Kushner and daughter Ivanka Trump — were not there and were reportedly out of town."
