The press is doing everything within their power to fight the magnificence of the phrase, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! They can’t stand the fact that this Administration has done more than virtually any other Administration in its first 2yrs. They are truly the ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE!

The firm date for the 2019 White House Correspondents Dinner was announced, and tRump jumped on the opportunity to call attention to himself. While he draped his slimey self all over legitimate journalists, reporters, and authors, and insulted their fundraiser for college scholarships, he informed the world of his intention to have a political (read- ego boosting) rally, somehere.
After tRump sent White House staff to function as crisis actors at the last Correspondents dinner, and false accusations were made against the chosen speaker at the charity event by Trump Loyalists, the fun of the event has been spoiled.
Michelle Wolf did her job. She is a comedian, and she took shots at everyone, including the journalists that let the American public down.
2011 was the last hurrah.
That year, the tradition of roasting continued, and nearly everyone took the pokes, shots, and jokes in good humor. The funds that were raised would give America some younger voices and viewpoints. Fulfill the promise of opportunity for all.
The one exception as tRump.
tRump had over-inflated his ego and himself.
Obama deflated tRump with a few words.
tRump led himself to believe he was among equals.
He will never achieve that stature.
He sits in the highest office in the land
yet, he remains a thick-fingered vulgarian,
and now everyone knows he is a criminal.
and a treasonous traitor.
A gloom has risen over the 2019 White House Correspondents dinner, because the deaths of American journalists and international journalists can be laid at tRump's feet.
The 2019 dinner will be a solemn and serious occaision.
Ron Chernow is expected to speak about freedom of the press at the April 27th dinner.
Tensions between the White House and the press corps, never warm to begin with, have grown increasingly strained over the president's tenure. Trump has repeatedly called the media "fake news" and "the enemy of the people" in response to coverage he views as unfair. Press briefings, once a daily occurrence at the White House, have become rarities.
WHCA President Olivier Knox said in a statement that the association would look forward to an "enjoyable evening" despite the president's absence for the third consecutive year.
“We’re looking forward to an enjoyable evening of celebrating the First Amendment and great journalists past, present, and future," Knox said in a statement.
Trump said he hasn't determined where his rally will be, but has narrowed it down to three sites.

"...focusing on outrage or reporting someone’s hyperbolic rants is nonsense, it reduces journalism to its lowest form, and it is destructive to a civil society."
