Happened to turn on TV in the middle of this story. An Italian family carries the gene for a rare (oh please let it be rare) diseases that causes increasingly longer periods of sleeplessness in adults until eventually, they may suffer for months without sleep until the body can't handle anymore. Then they die.

By that time, it must feel pretty good.

ambien was my saviour when i first left 'dick'. i would lay in bed at night with the phone clutched to my chest because i thought he would find me and well... anyway...after about 6 months of no sleep, i was given ambien. great stuff! i only have a mild case of insomnia and even that much bothers me. dont know how you do it, sher.
