True Detective - Season II

That cast is a who's who of people whose careers haven't quite worked out the way they planned. I'm looking forward to it nonetheless.

I just want McConaughey to stroll through at some point and talk for a few minutes about the meaninglessness of it all.

I'm seriously checking my expectations for this one. Outside of McConaughey's performance, the two big draws of the first season were the writing and direction.

Last season's director isn't returning.

With Pizzolato, his overall writing track record doesn't really justify the hype that that season got and he didn't have the many years to refine the individual scripts this time around.

'True Detective' season 3 renewal update: Matthew McConaughey wishes to return, discussed possibility with HBO?

HBO hasn't made "True Detective" season 3 official yet, but there's one actor interested in reviving the series – Matthew McConaughey.

The actor played the role of Rustin Cohle in the first season of the HBO series. "I miss Rust Cohle, man. I miss watching him on Sunday nights," McConaughey admitted to Rich Eisen of "The Rich Eisen Show."

According to Vanity Fair, McConaughey went so far as to reach out to show creator Nic Pizzolatto and HBO on the possibility of reprising his role in "True Detective" season 3.

However, he will only do it if the "True Detective" season 3 script gives him the same feeling he got in the first season in order for him to return for a new season.

"It would have to be the right context, the right way," McConaughey told Eisen. "That thing—when I read [the original script] I knew in 20 minutes if I can play this guy, Rustin Cohle, I'm in," he continued.

I hope this happens. Season two was a terrible let down.

I am one of the few that fully enjoyed season II. In fact, I stopped watching season I halfway through and picked it back up. Glad I did.
Of course, season II being filmed all around me helped me liking it because I am a shallow self-absorbed douche canoe.

I must be one too because I enjoy watching stuff that has been filmed in my stomping grounds.

Which one did you end up liking better season one or season two?

IMO Season 1 was mostly brilliant but Season 2 was mostly rubbish. Vince Vaughn was especially awful. Bad casting and terrible ecting.

Yup, I quit a little past halfway, he was awful and it wasn't his fault, what the hell were they thinking casting him?

Speaking of "casting him", losercrap00...

What role have you assigned your good pal Disgustipated in your next daddy-daughter tale? Will your twat wife be doing the fluffing before you share with him?
