True and funny story

I had to give a briefing today to some NATO people. Afterward, I got assigned the duty of seeing them out. As they were packing up their computers and such, the French guy was talking about the airport and the security, specifically the people that pull you aside randomly just before you get on the plane. He stated that when he was last here, they picked all the French people that were getting on the plane to be searched. At just that moment, the British guy chimed in with "As well they should."

I just about busted a nut holding in my laughter.

It was all good natured ribbing to them and it was clearly obvious that these 8 or 9 individuals from various NATO countries all knew each other and had met many times before. But that comment just cracked me up... considering the current political climate. But it also made me realize that this too shall pass.
