I was coming home from the doctor thing and the traffic backed up to one lane for about 5 miles, stop and go. A green Chevy pickup truck had gone off the Interstate and hit a tree, the bark was gone and the trunk was a ghostly, stark white. Not just hit it, the engine was in the front seat. They made a show of hauling the driver off in the ambulance, but I'm sure he/she was toast.
I doubt he/she was planning that for today. Then I thought, here I am making all these plans to try and stay alive and it could have just as easily been me, mouth full of blood and tree bark. Busted tie rod? Blow-out? Asleep at the wheel. I got about 3 hours sleep last night, so,
I came home and took a nap.
