Trouble getting published?

I just wondered if anyone else has had their stories rejected under weird circumstances. I submitted a story a couple of weeks ago and waited for it to be published. After about a week it was rejected saying they don't publish, "snuff" stories.
This is confusing since no one in my story dies or even comes close to dying.

You may want to PM Laurel, (not email), and ask for an explanation. If they've made a mistake, they're pretty good about fixing them.

If you're absolutely positive that nobody dies ( or is unduely physically/mentally tormented for purely gratuitous purposes, which is included under the snuff rejection, I believe ) then you can just re-submit with a note in the "Notes" section saying that there must have been a mistake, because there's no snuff in your story.

Mistakes do happen. With so many stories to approve nightly, I'd imagine it's a "red flag -- reject" knee-jerk to make it through the queue each night.

Keep in mind that the category matters with regards to violent content as well. What won't fly in erotic couplings might in Non-Con. Things that won't pass muster there might in Erotic Horror.
