Trooper Suspended After Traffic Stop With Porn Star

A blow job in exchange for letting drug charges slide?

That trooper's a dumbass. You just don't, don't, don't do stuff like that on duty and expect to get away with it, particularly with in-dash cameras and GPS-enabled patrol cars.

Even so, it's amazing what some cops will try to get away with; my husband saw it firsthand when he was one. One of his co-workers was fired for going to a motel with a woman he'd pulled over for speeding while he was still on duty. Another got fired because he was using his foot fetish as an excuse to massage female speeders' feet. He'd "check" the accelerators to make sure they weren't sticking and "accidentally" massage the women's feet in the process.

Back in the early 80's, my husband pulled over a speeding van filled with mud-wrestling hotties headed from NW Ohio back to their home base of Chicago. The young woman who was driving did the "But officer, I'll do anything--and I mean anything--to get out of this speeding ticket" routine. Did my husband find her attractive? Sure, but he wasn't going to risk his career (or his marriage) over some pussy.

She got the speeding ticket, and she ended up being a good sport about it: my husband got an autographed poster of the group. :D

Or employ the use of the company laptop to look at porn, which is one of the factors cited in his suspension. (I don't know if that applied to his discharge, too.)

My take: neither porn nor recreational drug use should be regulated by the state. Speeding laws, sure (until roads are privatized). Violating a policy of your employer -- you get what you deserve, pal. A ticket for her reckless driving and some sort of suspension or docking of pay would've been sufficient punishment given the gravity of the acts involved.

Was it a state/company laptop? I was wondering about that and must have missed that part of the article(s). In OH, a lot of the state employees' computers have software that blocks access to certain sites, but people always find a way around it, and they almost always get caught.

It's possible that the cop's union could decide to go to bat for him and try to get the firing overturned. I've seen it happen to suspended/fired cops here in OH.

Maybe we Chicks 'O Lit should start a letter-writing campaign. :nana:

By all means go do that shit if you really need to police, but for got sakes DON'T VIDEO TAPE IT.

as an aside, isn't this essentially the definition of marriage? ;)

I'll keep this story in mind. If I ever get pulled over by a cop again I'll tell him that I'm a porn star in the hopes that he'll let me off with a warning.

Gotta love lack of judgement, maybe he got a lovely parting gift -- unfortunately he made and starred in it.
