What were the Transformer links you posted that had those really cheesy morality statements like 'don't run away kids'?

I was telling the Fiance about them and he got all keen... what'd'ya know? He's a Transformers fan too...

PS- quoted from the fiance:
"transformers the movie was a pivotal film, for years we'd had optimus prime as leader of the sutobots and then in the film he got killed! Of course, that also allowed the toy manufacturers to bring out a whole new range... I was pleased cos I could only afford hotrod, who was this crappy side character but then optimus prime died and hotrod became the leader and I was like - yes!"

and he's 26 ffs

I can't remember any little moral lessons from the Mighty Metal Ones. However, it is nearly impossible to use the phrase "now I know" within my hearing without me replying "and knowing is half the battle." Too much G. I. Joe I fear.

Was that GI Joe? I thought it was He-Man. My BF and I say that all the time (we also think He Man made us gay. :D)

I loved all those moral time-outs at the end of 80s toons. Nowadays, at the end of a toon, the moral is "Buy my toys!". But it's just as well.

That was the moral then too. Those weren't exactly the good old days of non-commercial cartoons if you remember all the merchandise...

I remember something about that era being when Reagan changed this law to where cartoons could merchandise things to kids, and the first toon to be created with the intent of selling toys was... He-Man. And then, Thundercats, Silverhawks, G.I. Joe, Voltron and a million others followed. I just spent $40 on a Megatron toy for my 5-year old. Yeah, these cartoons/movies based on cartoons are wallet vampires.

"And knowing is half the battle.!" was definitely GIJoe. I was a huge fan of them, owning as many of their toys as my parrents could afford to give me (I am so jealous of my best friend who I met many years later that had all of the toys that my parrents could never afford to give me).

I always wanted to see He-Man fuck She-Ra. Then, right before he's about to cum, he'd yell "I have the power!", then he'd blast her in the face with a load. Then Orko would start giggling. Don't ask why.

Ooooh! Now there's a story for you! "He Man Makes Me Gay." Hmmm. Coming-of-age? Celebrity? Gay? Fantasy?

I can't wait to read it. :D
