I was wondering how some of you trim your junk. I like to trim mine down to where there's some really short hairs left--just short from being as smooth as a baby's butt. My problem is that with the Norelco trimmer I'm using, I'm prone to nicking my sack or shaft which is uncomfortable and--due to all the vessels in the area--bleeds like stuck pig.

I was wondering if there was a much safer way for me to do this. I also have the added difficulty of having Parkinson's so my hands are not all that steady.

I feel a bit cleaner being trimmed way down and my wife likes not having to pick hair out of her teeth.

Use a mustache trimmer attachment. You can set whatever length you like and maintain a safe distance from anything important.

I've kept things clean and smooth down there for decades. I've tried a bunch of different devices and techniques, from plain old multi-blade razors, to electric razors, to "wet" electric razors, to depilatory cremes like Nair or Nad's for men. Ultimately, I've always gone back to multi-blade razors.

I currently use "Gillette Body" razors, described as,

"The first body razor built for male terrain, designed to go where face razors can't. Experience comfort even in the toughest hard-to-reach areas every time you shave."

Before that I used the same "Gillette Venus" razors as my wife. Both have extra guards and features to help prevent nicks and cuts on those sensitive parts.

That said, I still don't know how that would work with the Parkinson's and as others suggested, if she's game, you might want to have your wife shave you. Though it's not a regular occurrence, my wife and I have shaved each other and it's a pretty intimate and erotic experience that can lead to spontaneous fun.

Because of skin sensitivities and allergic reactions, depilatory cremes aren't for everyone but I have never had an issue with them and you will never get any smoother (except maybe with a professional waxing). The drawback is it's all or nothing.

No matter what method I use, I apply some sort of balm or lotion afterward and I've settled on "Dove Men+Care Post Shave Balm, Sensitive +".

You need to use a guard on your clippers. Find a pair of clippers that accepts different sized guards for that perfectly groomed area. The guards will make sure you don't nick your jewels!

I do not have Parkinsons, but I have brain damage that results in some shaking of my right side. It's generally not noticeable (and here 25 yrs later I'm typing with both hands) but it's enough that I get nervous too around razors. I use a electric trimmer designed for personal areas; I think it's this one:

...but I paid about $20 more getting it at Target. I have not nicked or hurt myself in the 2+- months I've had it.

I second the suggestion about having your wife do it; she might find she really enjoys it. I've found success there in the past :)
