It's very tempting to say that one thing you should definitely not miss is the plane that takes you back home from NYC.jussforfun said:I'm traveling to New York at the end of this month will only be there for 2 days... what should I not miss?

However, the truth is that NYC is city rich in places of interest for nearly anyone. I would ask yourself what NYC has that you don't have at home (great museums, unusual ethnic restaurants, excellent theater, for example) and be sure to take advantage of those opportunities. Another thing to do is to ask yourself what you first think of when you think of New York. Is it the Empire State Building, Broadway, shopping at places like Tiffany's or Macy's? Build your itinerary from there.
And then when you're all done with getting all you can out of New York in 2 days, come to Chicago for a month and just get started enjoying a really great city.
You're welcome. Perhaps someone who knows the city better than I will have the courtesy of giving you some more specific recommendations.jussforfun said:Love Chicago, was there last August to watch the Trojans play the Irish, awesome city will definately be visiting there again, the best pubs in the States so far that I have found!!!! thanks for the 411 on NYC, I'm staying downtown at ground zero so will be sure to take that in......
