Trapped in the snow. [Closed for PogueMahone and Flurtayshus]
I'm new to the board but would like to start a new thread if anyone's interested. The idea is my character gets stranded in a snowstorm and wanders into a strange house, anything can happen from there. Anyone interested? PM me with your character.

My car coughed once then died, leaving me stranded next to the highway during the biggest blizzard that this part of the country has seen in a century. Swearing profusely at anything even remotely mechanical I climbed out of the car and looked around for any sign of help. The highway was deserted, everyone else having enough sense to stay inside on a day like this. Shrugging my shoulders I started back towards the last exit I had passed, fortunately for me I hadn't gone far before my car died and after fifteen minutes of trudging through the knee deep snow I reached the exit.
The off ramp was as deserted as the highway was and the snow was getting deeper by the minute. If I didn't get out of the storm soon, they probably wouldn't find me until the spring thaw. Just as I was about to give up and head back to my car I thought I saw a faint light shimmering through the trees. Trying to figure out what I was seeing I headed in the direction of the light. As I approached I saw that it was an old farmhouse, set back from the road, it's windows dark but a lamppost shined next to the snow clogged driveway. I could have cried at the sight but I was afraid that my tears would freeze on contact with the winter air.
I knocked on the door, shaking the built up snow off my head and shoulders, praying that someone was home. If not maybe I could break in, at that point anything to get in from the storm was looking good to me. Just as I was about to knock again I saw the curtains move as whoever was inside peeked out at me, the sound of the door being unlocked a second later. The door swung open a little and I slipped into the warmth of the house quickly. I don't think I appreciated central heating quite as much as I did in that moment, the waves of heat sweeping over me.
As I stood there hugging myself to keep warm I looked around to see who my benefactor was.
